Jézus a kereszten győzte le a halált, egymagában, elhagyatva mindenkitől.
Ennek ellenére a halál még mindig aktív. Baleseteket, betegségeket visz az emberek életébe.
Ezért mondta Jézus a követőinek:
Hatalmat adok nektek, hogy a kígyókon és skorpiókon tapodjatok, és az ellenségnek minden erején; és semmi nem árthat néktek. Lk 10:19
Betegeket gyógyítsatok, poklosokat tisztítsatok, halottakat támasszatok, ördögöket űzzetek. Mt 10:8
Mert az a győzelem, amit a Halál és Pokol felett aratott Jézus, nekünk adatott (a hívőknek).
Halál! hol a te fullánkod? Pokol! hol a te diadalmad? 1Kor 15:55

Jesus overcame the death on the cross, all alone, abandoned by everybody.
However, the death is still active. Accidents, illnesses take part of the lives of people.
Therefore, Jesus said to the Christians:
Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt you. Lk 10:19
Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse lepers, cast out demons. Mt 10:8
Because the victory that Jesus took over Death and Hell, has been given to us (to the church, to the believers).
